How to Earn on Rawly: A Complete Beginner's Guide
Rawly has two ways to earn Jeton: winning photo challenges and voting on brand-funded challenges. Both paths are open from day one. Neither requires followers, an existing audience, or prior earnings.
This guide walks through each earning mechanism, what the numbers actually look like, and what you need to do to reach your first withdrawal.
How the Jeton economy works
Jeton is Rawly's earned currency. It is separate from Token, which is the purchase currency used to fund challenges.
- Withdrawal rate: €0.06 per Jeton (fixed published rate)
- Minimum withdrawal: 500 Jeton (≈€28.50 after the €1.50 flat processing fee)
- Withdrawable balance: Only Jeton earned from challenges and voting is withdrawable. Welcome bonus Jeton (5 Jeton on signup) and package bonus Jeton are non-withdrawable and expire within 30 days.
The rate is fixed by Rawly and published openly. It does not change based on platform performance, the number of active users, or advertising revenue.
Path 1: Win photo challenges
The primary way to earn on Rawly is by winning challenges. Here is the complete flow:
Find an open challenge
Open the Challenges tab. Each challenge card shows the brief (what to photograph), the prize pool in Jeton, and the submission deadline. The pool is visible before you commit to entering.
Capture your photo in-app
Tapping a challenge opens the Rawly camera directly. Photos must be taken live, no gallery imports, no editing, no filters. On supported devices, both front and rear cameras fire simultaneously as a proof-of-capture layer. The photo you see is the photo that enters.
Community voting phase
After the submission window closes, a voting phase opens, typically 24 hours. Community members swipe through entries and vote for their favourite. Your follower count, account age, and profile history have no effect on how often your photo is shown to voters.
Results and payout
The highest-voted submission wins. On a standard challenge, the winner receives 75% of the prize pool. Jeton is transferred to your balance immediately. Multiple winners can be set by the challenge creator, check the challenge details before entering.
Standard vs brand challenge payouts
| Challenge type | Winner earns | Voters earn | Platform | Pool funded by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 75% | 10% (split) | 15% | Challenge creator (Token) |
| Brand-funded | 50% | 30% (split) | 20% | Sponsoring brand |
| Private | 85% | , | 15% | Challenge creator (Token) |
Path 2: Earn by voting
You do not need to submit a photo to earn on Rawly. On brand-funded challenges, 30% of the prize pool is distributed among active voters after the challenge resolves. On standard challenges, voters share 10% of the pool.
Voter payouts are weighted by your civic rank, your standing in the Rawly Cursus Honorum rank system. Higher ranks carry more vote weight, which translates to a larger share of the voter pool. A new user at the lowest rank still earns from voting; the weight just grows as your rank increases.
Voting also earns Score, Rawly's reputation metric. Score contributes to rank progression but is not directly convertible to Jeton.

What you need before your first withdrawal
Winning Jeton and withdrawing Jeton are two different milestones. You can win challenges before meeting withdrawal requirements, the Jeton accumulates in your balance. To withdraw, you need:
- Bronze creator level, 100 followers and 10 posts
- Account age of 14 days or more
- At least 5 challenge participations (submitting or voting counts)
- Minimum 500 withdrawable Jeton (non-withdrawable bonus Jeton does not count)
- KYC verification for your first withdrawal (identity document required)

Creator levels and what they unlock
Rawly's creator levels gate withdrawal limits and some platform features. Levels are milestone-based, you reach them by building a following and posting content.
| Level | Requirement | Monthly withdrawal limit |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 100 followers + 10 posts | 500 Jeton |
| Silver | 1,000 followers + 50 posts | 5,000 Jeton |
| Gold | 5,000 followers + 200 posts | 20,000 Jeton |
| Diamond | 20,000 followers + invite from Rawly | Higher limits |
Note: followers and posts are platform metrics, not prerequisites for entering challenges or winning Jeton. You can win challenges at any level, withdrawal limits are the only earnings gate tied to creator level. Full breakdown: Rawly creator levels explained.
The Cursus Honorum rank system and earnings
Rawly's civic rank system (Cursus Honorum) affects how much of the voter pool you receive when voting on brand challenges. Higher ranks carry higher vote weight:
| Rank | Vote weight |
|---|---|
| Citizen (Plebs) | ×1.0 |
| Steward (Quaestor) | ×1.2 |
| Curator (Aedile) | ×1.5 |
| Judge (Praetor) | ×2.0 |
| Leader (Consul) | ×3.0 |
| Guardian (Censor) | ×4.0 |
Rank progression requires account age, challenge participation, Jeton volume, and, at higher levels, curation accuracy (whether your votes match the community outcome). Rank is earned over time, not purchased. See: how rank affects your earnings.
Common questions from new users
I won a challenge but can't withdraw yet. Where is my Jeton?
Jeton from challenge wins goes to your balance immediately. It accumulates there until you meet withdrawal requirements (500 Jeton minimum, Bronze level, 14-day account age, 5 participations). You are not losing it, it is sitting in your account.
The welcome bonus says 5 Jeton, why can't I withdraw it?
The 5 Jeton welcome bonus is non-withdrawable by design. It is intended to let new users participate in small challenges without spending money. It expires 30 days after signup. Only Jeton earned from challenge wins and voting is withdrawable.
What is Score and can I convert it to Jeton?
Score is Rawly's civic reputation metric. It affects your rank progression and vote weight. Score is not convertible to Jeton, this conversion was removed from the platform. Score is earned through platform activity (voting, posting, jury duty) and drives rank, which in turn increases voter earnings.
